Dr. Safadi specializes in Endodontics and microsurgery, he is committed to staying at the forefront of endodontic techniques and technology. Dr. Safadi received his D.D.S. degree in 1998 and he is one of handful of endodontists in the world who is also an Orofacial Pain Specialist. Dr. Safadi is double specialized in Endodontics & Microsurgery as well as in Orofacial Pain. He completed his Endodontics specialty residency at CWRU and his Orofacial Pain residency at SUNY at Buffalo. In addition to his two doctorate degrees D.D.S. and D.M.D., he holds two Masters' degrees (M.S. in Orofacial Pain and M.S.D. in Endodontics). He received his D.D.S. degree from Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Sam Safadi went on to complete his first 2 year residency and obtain his Master's degree in Oral Sciences (M.S.) from the State University of New York at Buffalo, his first Master's thesis examined Orofacial Pain therapy long-term outcomes. Dr. Safadi then practiced general & cosmetic dentistry in private practice in Goodyear & Scottsdale, Arizona where he helped thousands of patient accomplish the "perfect smile". In 2005, his office was featured on the MTV hit smile makeover show "I want a famous face". After practicing general dentistry for many years, Dr. Safadi then furthered his education to become a root canal specialist (Endodontist) at his alma mater Case Western Reserve University (the affliated University for the Cleveland Clinic) where he completed his residency in endodontics & microsurgery and obtained his second master's degree in dentistry, his second Master's thesis examined the relationship between endodontic conditions and systemic medical disease.
Dr. Safadi has also been featured in several publications, magazines, radio, and journals. In addition, Dr. Safadi serves as an Expert Endodontic Consultant. Dr. Safadi is currently an adjunct associate professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, School of Dentistry (Go Tar Heels!!!), he previously served on the faculty of the University at Buffalo as a clinical instructor and as a chief resident at the CWRU school of dental medicine. Dr. Safadi is a featured clinician and lecturer all over the country discussing the importance of maintaining your natural teeth. Dr. Safadi conducts continuing education courses to dentists on contemporary endodontic treatment (root canal therapy), he currently presides over the Apex Dental Education Study Club. Dr. Safadi has membership in several dental societies such as the American Association of Endodontists, American Board of Endodontics, American Dental Association, American Academy of Orofacial Pain, North Carolina Dental Society, wake county dental society and many more.
